My name is Bethany, and I live in Tennessee in the United States of America. As of 25 January 2010, I'll be 19 years old (with an emphasis on the word old since that's how it makes me feel). I got through my first semester of college at East Tennessee State University, and I survived. I'm currently an English major, but at this point I am planning to change that somewhat. I am definitely going to be majoring in Philosophy with a Concentration in Religious Studies, although I will be double-majoring in that and something else (English, or possibly History or Anthropology). I'm very up in the air about what I want to do with myself, but I have decided to commit myself to continuing my education at least into graduate school.

As is evidenced in this profile, and everything else about my LJ presence, fandom is very important to me. Learning is also extremely important. Whether learning the fictional mythology of a series that will never have any actual bearing on the rest of my life, or learning about real life, being a student is the most important thing in the world to me.

Fandom is my outlet. It is my port in the storm when everything else about life seems awful, and the icing on the cake when everything is going well. I take fandom quite seriously, and I absolutely relish in talking about outlandish theories involving characters. I love psychoanalysis, shipping, and roleplaying. This journal is Friends-Locked (even though my fandom/writing/icon journal isn't), but chances are that if you'll just bother to comment that I'll add you. Have a look around, see if we have anything in common. Even if we don't, we still might learn a lot from each other.

Before I had this account, I was bohemianneko for years. I was quite attached to the account and I'm still not entirely convinced that I'm going to be able to make the transition, but if this does eventually become my permanent home, I'm still going to keep the account active so I can go back to the tremendous amount of history I have there. Most of the post are varying degrees of being f-locked, but if you're interested in finding out who I am by seeing who I was then just friend the old account too.
